How Does MyAlohaVibe Work?
MyAlohaVibe is easy, fun and free. Public viewers are invited to use the site to discover places and enjoy a variety of viewer functions.
What do I get by joining?
As a registered user, you can create a favorites list, share with friends, vote on venue attributes and contribute your thoughts on specific venues. In the near future, we’ll be adding more fun member features, so stay tuned!
Signing Up
Click any “Sign Up” link on MyAlohaVibe to get best search matches and enjoy fun Vibe features. You’ll complete a simple form so that account login can be sent to you via email. An email with secure login information will sent immediately so that you can login as a Vibe Member.
Forgot Password
If you’ve forgotten your password or login information, click “Login” in the top bar then click “Lost your password?” Your login information will be immediately sent to the email listed in your account.
Change Account Information
In the top right navigation, Click “My Account” to access your personal “Dashboard” page. Click “Update your account information” and change field settings as desired then click “Update Profile” to commit account changes.

What do I get by creating a listing?
Free exposure. World-wide. From the mainland to Japan with the chance to get discovered by travelers before they even arrive in the islands! How can you beat that?

Creating a Listing
Click “Restaurants Get Listed” in the footer of any page. New members will complete a simple form so that account login can be sent to you via email. An email with secure login information will sent immediately so that you can login as a Venue Member. If you’re already a Vibe Member, click “My Account” to get to your Dashboard then click “Create a restaurant profile” to open a new profile page. A legal authorization notice will appear asking you to confirm that you are authorized to create a profile on behalf of the business to be profiled and that you agree to our Terms of Use. If you are so empowered and agree to the Terms of Use, click “OK” to continue. A profile form page complete with instructions will appear. Once you’ve completed the form, click “Save as Draft” to save the profile in an un-published state or click “Publish” to save and immediately publish your profile. Once your profile form is complete, you can visit other venue features to add photos, coupons and menus.
Multiple Locations
You can either create separate profiles for each location or create a single profile with multiple addresses. If you don’t mind maintaining multiple profiles, we recommend doing separate locations whenever possible as you can always differentiate locations by adding local staff pictures and other local features such as parking may vary. On the otherhand, you can list multiple addresses on a single profile in your Manage Profile page.
Website Linkage
You can add a link from your Vibe Page to a separate website of your choosing.
Map Function
If your map does not generate correctly, check to see that the first line of your profiled address is a proper postal address (i.e., street number and street name). Google maps use address line 1 to find your location and often won’t find the name of a real estate complex. If you would like to list your complex location, add it to address Line 2.
Optimizing Search Results
To get best viewer search exposure go to and “Venues > Manage Photos” and amp the following:
• Profile Header & Description Text: keywords drive search engine responses. So go to “Venues > Manage Profile” and create dialogue that uses terms your target audience uses to find places like yours.
• Select Categories: Also at “Venues > Manage Profile” make sure to select all categories that apply to your venue as the Vibe® Recommendation Engine uses such designations in part to deliver search results.
• Tag Photos: Go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Current Images” where each uploaded photo has a corresponding “Tags” selector area in which you can indicate the subject of each picture. For best search results, select all tags that apply. Vibe® Recommendation Engine uses such designations in part to deliver search results.
Deleting Your Profile
Go to “My Venues > Manage Profile” and click “Delete This Post” at the very bottom of the page. A confirmation message will require you to click “OK” before your profile is deleted.
VENUES: ADDING PHOTOS
Uploading Photos
To upload photos, go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” page and do the following:
1. Click “Browse” in the “Upload Images” box. A window will open that shows the directory structure of your computer.
2. Select an image that you would like to upload and click “Open.” Note that maximum upload size is 3 megabits. If your images are larger than that, you’ll need to create lower resolution versions prior to uploading. You can upload multiple images at once by repeating this step.
3. Select “Upload Image” to have the picture(s) transferred to the Vibe database.
Selecting a Primary Photo
Your primary photo is the default image that MyAlohaVibe uses in search results and your key image on your Vibe Page. Go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Select Primary Image.” Click the down arrow to see your pictures library then select an image then click “Save Primary Image” to set the image as the first and default image for your profile page.
Photo Captions
Go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Current Images” to find fields in which you can enter captions for each picture in your library. After you have added or updated captions, click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the section.
Photo Credits
Go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Current Images.” Click “Add Photo Credits” to open fields in which you can enter credits for each picture in your library. After you have added or updated credits, click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the section. To exit the Photo Credits function, click “Finished Adding Credits.”
Tagging Photos
For best search results, note words that relate to your photo images. Go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Current Images” where each uploaded photo has a corresponding “Tags” selector area in which you can indicate the subject of each picture. For best search results, select all tags that apply. Vibe® Recommendation Engine uses such designations in part to deliver search results. To close the Tagging Window, click the “esc” button on your keyboard.
Hiding Photos
You can store photos in your Photo Library in an unpublished state by going to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Current Images.” Click the check box for the picture(s) you would like to un-publish then click “Save Changes.” To re-publish hidden pictures, simply deselect check boxes and click “Save Changes.”
Deleting Photos
Go to “My Venues > Manage Photos” and scroll down to “Current Images” where each photo in your library has a corresponding “Delete” button. A confirmation message will require you to click “OK” before your photo is deleted.
VENUES: ADDING SPECIALS & COUPONS
Go to “My Venues > Manage Specials” and complete the easy form. After you have added or updated a coupon, click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the section to publish your coupon.
