Hawaiian cowboys have played an important role historically and still today on Hawaii’s Big Island. There were paniolo working the open range here on the island before there were cowboys in America’s West. With that in mind, Kona Village Resort shares a bit of paniolo culture with guests.Each Tuesday evening “Paniolo Night” celebrates the rich culture and heritage of Hawaiian cowboys with great food and entertainment. The tasty menu includes grilled steak, chicken, fresh island fish, beans slow-cooked over an open fire, corn on the cob, salads, desserts and for a nominal extra fee, fresh Keahole grilled lobster.
